Self Help
Within a few days we will have the new Beans on the Block Episode up on our YouTube Channel. Basically, in this episode, Malena gives Joshua a “Self Help” book so that he might calm his ways and treat people with a little more respect. However I don’t want to give away anything.
What I want to talk about is a new artistic element that we are implementing. Typically Joshua goes out into the neighborhood and city of Anniston in order to take Panorama photos and use them as a background. However, one particular scene takes place in a fast food restaurant. We can’t use any photos of the insides of any fast food restaurants because of copyright issues.
To work around this, we created a full 3D scene in the likeness of McDonald's. With this scene we are breaking the traditional style that we intended for Beans on the Block. However there are more possibilities and potential capabilities with having a full 3D scene. There can be more interaction between the characters and their environment. But we shall see how people like it, and how it fits into our plans with this cartoon.

Top Five Unfinished Zelda Fan Games
The Legend of Zelda has always been such an inspiring game. People marvel over its perfections of its changing art style, game play, but most importantly, story.
Everyone would like to have an input in the Legends of Hyrule. Especially since Nintendo was dumb enough to make Spirit Tracks, that thing was terrible. But Phantom Hour Glass, now that was a great one.
There are often people who do get the chance to hold some of that glory, or failing, by making their own fan game. And then, there are those who come so close, but are cut down.
These people and their projects are what I am going to be talking about. These people with great ideas and intention, just become overwhelmed by the awesomeness of Legend of Zelda. This is in dedication to them.
ShadowGazer 5th
ShadowGazer was a cute, but very serious, game with an art style based around “Minish Cap.” It’s not a sequel to any game so you play as an entirely new link in the Saga. Your ultimate goal is to save Hyrule from its parallel, nightmarish realm.
It has a three day rotating would schedule. However the game does not end after this time, the people and ships and events just reset themselves; the story continues.
Something really unique about this fan game is the face that there is horseback riding and combat, which have yet to be seen in any 2D LoZ title.
Wind Waker Fan Game 4th
The LOZ WW Fan Game was something I followed in 2008. There never really was much to the game. It was a guy recreating the graphics and programming of Wind Waker. There wasn’t much told about the story or any plans about its future. However is was fun to watch him as he progressed. Slowly getting better at detail and learning new things. The creater also wound up doing the same thing with Twilight Princess, and dropping that as well.
The Ballad of the Wind Fish 3rd
Now this was a game that I really wish I could have seen finished. It was a 3D remake of the old 2D Zelda game, “Link’s Awakening.” The render shots that the creator posted on his blog made me so excited. It had nice lighting and great design. It seemed like it was the perfect translation from 2D over to 3D. He also has a demo available on his blog with you in the first village which showed so much potential. But all good things come to an end.
OoT Beta Restoration Project 2nd
Even through OoT was great on its own, hands down, the clips and photos that we saw at E3 that year left us with such a great mystery about some of those places. The lost woods with open spaces filled with trees instead of tunnels, a huge Lon Lon Ranch, a true 3D Castle Town Market, and ,of course, the infamous Unicorn Fountain. This project was going along smoothly at first and then seems to just stop. So it seems that those sweet fantasies will have to stay in our dreams for now.
